If you’re like half the adult population in America and don’t have dental insurance…Click to learn more in a new window…, we’ve got you covered.

Or maybe:

You already have insurance but are fed up with its lack of coverage.

Again, we’ve got you covered!

Dental savings plans can often replace insurance or help you have access to more dentistry that you need or want. This includes services that your dental insurance might not cover.

What is a dental savings plan?

They’re a membership program that is customizable to you and your family’s needs – not dental insurance.

It allows you to have access to quality dental care at an affordable price.

Benefits of a dental savings plan

People who don’t have access to dental insurance or whose healthcare plans don’t include dental coverage can benefit from a savings plan.

A lot of our patients benefit from a dental savings plan because:

  • Benefits start from day one
  • You’ll stay healthy
  • You’ll always get transparent pricing
  • You’ll improve your smile’s appearance with discounts on services, like cosmetic dentistry and orthodontics
  • You’ll save money (especially if you don’t have dental insurance)

How do dental savings plans work?

A dental savings plan allows you to pay one low annual fee and automatically receive discounted savings on dental care.

With Neighborhood Dental‘s Savings Program, you can expect:

  • 100% coverage for preventive oral care
  • ALL additional services receive a discount, including dental implants and orthodontics
  • No waiting periods, deductibles, yearly maximums, or denied claims
  • No hidden costs or confusing terms

A procedure is charged at a specific discount, directly from the dentist without claims or piles of paperwork.

What do dental savings plans cover?

Dental savings plans cover preventative and restorative dental work.

Some common dental treatments that our savings program covers include:

  • Routine check-ups
  • Oral exams and cleanings
  • X-rays
  • Fillings
  • Dental crowns
  • Dental bridges
  • Tooth extractions
  • Braces
  • Root canal treatment
  • Dental implants
  • Veneers

Similarities between dental insurance and dental savings programs

Dentist network

Both require treatment from a qualified doctor within their network, which sometimes requires you to do a bit of research to find an authorized doctor in your area before signing up.

With Neighborhood Dental, we have a network of dentists.

Lower member prices

You’ll receive discounted care for you and all members of your plan.

However, the biggest difference between the two:

You’ll pay a flat rate directly to our doctor with our savings program.

But with insurance, you pay a copayment or the full price upfront. Then, you have to wait for a reimbursement from your insurance provider.

Renewals

Both plans require you to renew your coverage annually.

Differences between dental insurance and dental membership plans

Procedures covered

Savings plans cover significantly more types of treatments, including cosmetic dentistry and orthodontics.

Insurance plans don’t cover elective or cosmetic procedures, but the Neighborhood Dental Savings Program does.

Annual limits

Most insurance providers have annual coverage caps. This means they stop covering treatments after you spend a certain amount of money (usually about $2000 a year).

The Neighborhood Dental Savings Program has no annual limits.

Amount of paperwork

Because you pay the dentist directly, you won’t have to file any claims or paperwork with a dental savings plan.

There is also no waiting period for coverage, eliminating any waiting for reimbursements.
